"Big City"
by Bob Putignano
I am sorry to say that there will be no New York report this month, as my Dad (Caesar Putignano) passed away early on the morning of January 13th, 2007.
My Dad was my first musical influence, as I grew up in our Greenwich Village apartment in NYC, my Dad often played; (first & foremost;) Louis Prima, plus Frank Sinatra (especially with the Count Basie Orchestra,) Tony Bennett, Walden Cassoto aka: Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, and many more American greats.
Below is one of the last pictures we took together on Thanksgiving '06, left to right- Mom, Dad & Me.
I love you Dad, and I will miss you.
